ALVI Annual Report are published in the NLA News bulletins.
The Federals maiden issue appeared in May 2000. It contained about fourteen articles that had been presented at the first annual general conference of the Association. The journal was intended to appear twice a year in May and October of each year. But there has been a death of articles for publication.
A much-reduced Vol. 1 no 2 appeared in year 2002. In December 2003 and 2004, Vol 2 no 1 and Vol 3 no 1 appeared respectively.
There have been problems of marketing the journal, parlays because of its narrow scope and the fact that many libraries do not offer library services to the visually impaired. Our target audience however, was really the state/public libraries who are being enjoined to establish Sections for the Visually Impaired following the examples of Oyo, Abia and Imo state Library Boards.
